POSTING:

Tin Monk. Tuesday Early Evening.

RECAP:

DUE TO NECESSARY CONTRUCTION, AND POOR TIME MANAGEMENT, I DID NOT POST THE WEEK OF DEC 14 TO 20TH. I APOLOGIZE. I'M BACK ON TRACK. THANK YOU.

So...here's last week's round up:

Wednesday we performed at a Private Holiday Party. It was private. It was a party. It was for the Holidays. It was fun. We may be returning to the bar where the party was hosted. It's a brand new place. We'll keep you posted.

Jimmy D's was a Holiday Party. It was a party. It was for the Holiday. It was fun. We left with a bunch of food and some tips, and filled our gas tank with cheap, cheap New Jersey gas. Oh, and we love you people at the Jimmy D's. We'll see you next year.

Max's On Main was a gig. It was neither a party, nor for the Holidys. However, it WAS loads of fun. Ended up with a full house, which is awesome considering all of the things going on around town. We left with some food, and holiday cheer. We'll see you next year. Consequently, next year we'll be performing the third Friday of every month at Max's. Hugs.

I skipped last Sunday's at Jive Bar and Restuarant the due to a scheduling conflict. However, I'll be returning to my regularly scheduled program every Sunday.

PRECAP:

Two Gigs this week/end:

One Talking Machine/One Tin Monk:

FIRST UP, on Saturday December 26th we'll be performing at The Shire Pub in Delhi, NY with the full band. Not much to add except Happy Holidays. We'll see you on the Mountain Top. I'm looking forward to vegetables. Take that for what you will. The show time is 9:30PM.

LAST UP, on Sunday December 27th I return to Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA. Last week, the show was postponed due to scheduling, but we're back on track. Come celebrate your Christmas Hangover with Tin Monk. The show time is 5:00PM.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, E'RBODY

Work has begun on album #2. It has been delayed till next year. We'll keep you posted.

RECAP:

So...here's last week's round up:

The Wherehouse was a house full of fans. It's good to see that even after all these years, the people still come through to see us do our thing. We love you all. See you next year. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Hopper.

Black Dirt Brewhouse was an even pairing of fans and converts. The name is changing, apparently, to The Sweet Onion Brewhouse. Either way, we'll see you New Year's Eve.

Nostrono Vineyards celebrated their one year anniversary, and we were honored to share it with them. They have become like family to us, and we are proud of them. Congratulations. You've earned the celebration. Here's to many more years together.

The Chocolate Expo, which took place at the Hartford Science Center, was a fantastic time. The building is HUGE, and gave us an oppurtunity to fill the atrium and its floors with Talking Machine goodness. Oh, and chocolate. While there will be another expo in Long Island, unfortunately, we will not be a part. However, it looks like we have become part of the "family", as it were, and we'll be returning to the expos next year.

PRECAP:

Three Gigs this week/end:

Two Talking Machine/One Tin Monk:

FIRST UP, on Friday December 11th isTalking Machine's monthly second Fridays at The Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. This will be the last one of the year, and we won't be returning until March, 2016. Not to worry, however. We'll be resuming our regularly scheduled second Fridays the rest of the year. Our show time is 10PM.

NEXT UP, on Saturday December 12th, the duo heads back to Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA. While I give a solo performance there every Sunday (see below), the duo gives such a different experience that we return to Jive once a month on a Saturday. Jive appreciates the difference, and for it we love them. Our show time is 9PM. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

LAST UP Sunday December 13th I, Tin Monk, return to Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA.. It's my day, yo. For real. As it were. My performances there should be more regular now that we aren't doing the expos. The show time is 8PM HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

Work has begun on album #2. It has been delayed till next year. We'll keep you posted.

RECAP:

So...here's last week's round up:

Jimmy D's Blues Saloon celebrated the end of Tiki Bar for the season, and Thanksgiving Eve. We played are asses off, got to banter with the patrons, and eat BBQ everything during our break. See you in a couple of weeks.

The Pickled Owl debut was amazing. The place was packed, and filled with friends, fans, and family. The food is fucking good, too. We'll be back soon, and can't wait. This place is setting up to become one of our favorites.

Nostrono Vineyards celebrated their one year anniversary, and we were honored to share it with them. They have become like family to us, and we are proud of them. Congratulations. You've earned the celebration. Here's to many more years together.

Jive Bar and Restuarant was sexy both nights. Talking Machine played to some new and old faces, and converted some unbelievers. Then, Tin Monk (myself), serenaded the Sunday hang-overs till 8PM, and had dinner with the crew. Randy can cook his ass off. Get yourself a Jive Turkey. It's f!@#$ing awesome.

PRECAP:

Three Gigs this week/end:

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Monday, Early Morning.

RECAP:

So...here's last week's round up:

Max's On Main had bodies from stem to stern packed with farmiliar faces and new blood, presumably home from college for the Holiday Season. We had a great crowd, and went home with a mess of chicken wings to boot.

The Andes Hotel had us help them kick off hunting season with a performance in the tavern, something we've been doing annually for the past five or so years. Crowd was rowdy and receptive, and full of our fans. See you in Delhi in December with the four piece.

Chocolate Expo....man, oh man was that a lot of work. We took care of the sound for the guest speakers and guest chef's (on both sides of the auditorium) as well as perform. While I was fully spent by the end of the day, I have to say we had a blast. Special thanks to Marc Salem for his patience and humour, and to Chef's Barret, Francis, Larry, and Tony for being cool and feeding us. Also Marvin and Heather for exceptional management. And Eric, for being keeping us above water. See you all in Hartford, CT for the next one.

PRECAP:

Five Gigs this week/end:

Four Talking Machine/One Tin Monk:

FIRST UP, this Wednesday November 24th Talking Machine celebrates Thanksgiving Eve as the duo with Jimmy D's Blues Saloon in North Bergen, NJ. This has become an annual affair, and we book this gig usually a year in advance. Basically we all pack into a biker, eat BBQ, play loud, watch everyone get drunk, and curse at each other. Yeah, I know. It's awesome. Event starts at 5PM. Our show time is 7PM. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

NEXT UP, on Friday November 27th, the duo debuts at The Pickled Owl in Hurleyville, NY. Here's a place that just opened up, and has started to make a name for itself in Sullivan County. Talking Machine kind of had our beginnings in Sullivan County. Perhaps one day we'll tell the tale. Regardless, we haven't played 'round those parts for some time. It's good to know where you started. And better to go back, now and then. Looking forward to this one. Our show time is 7PM. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

NEXT UP, on Friday November 28th, the duo returns to Nostrono Vineyards in Milton, NY. They are celebrating thier one year anniversary, and Talking Machine is honored to spend the afternoon with them. The family that owns the vineyard/winery have been fans of ours since the beginning, through every change, and we consider them family. CONGRATULATIONS. Event starts at 12:00PM. Our show time is 1:00PM. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

NEXT UP, on Friday November 28th, the duo returns to Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA. Talking Machine has been there since the grand openeing in October as the duo, (though I've been doing my Tin Monk Sunday's, see below). The place gets better with each passing day, and we are looking forward to returning. Our show time is 9:00PM. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

LAST UP Sunday November 29th Tin Monk (that's me) will be returning for a performance at Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA. I'm happy to be taking my place there again this Sunday. Show starts at 6PM. UPDATE: I WON'T be returning for DEC 6th (Talking Machine will be in Hartford, CT), but I WILL be returning DEC 13th. Thank you! HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

Work has begun on album #2. We'll keep you posted.

I mentioned this a few times already, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

It was a phenomenal weekend for us, and this weekend should be equally amazing. It better be.

Don't forget: The Hammer and the Dove, available on iTunes, AmazonMP3, and Spotify. And now EVERYWHERE!!

As always, thank you. Please enjoy.

Tin Monk. Monday, Early Morning.

RECAP:

Apparently, last week the RECAP was infact that of the week before. I apologize for the mistake. Let's update the shit, shall we?

The Gaslight was a pretty awesome. Filled up with fans old and new, and we all flung inappropriate commentary toward one another. I'd have it no other way. See you next month. SECOND FRIDAY!!!11!

While the only other gig last week was my weekly solo gig, I have to say Jive Bar and Restuarant has become a second home. I WON'T be there this coming Sunday, but I WILL return the week after. Read below to find out why.

PRECAP:

Three Gigs this weekend:

Three Talking Machine/Zero Tin Monk:

FIRST UP, Second Friday November 20th is Talking Machine's montly return as the duo to Max's On Main in Beacon, NY. We love you. With aggresion and tenderness in equal measure. Our show time is 9:30PM.

NEXT UP, on Friday November 21st, the duo returns to The Andes Hotel in Andes, NY. Talking Machine will be performing in the tavern proper. We love you. With aggression and tenderness in equal measure...Except that in the late autumn mountains, both things are also replete with shallow breathing and shriveled...flesh. Our show time is 9:30PM.

LAST UP Sunday November 22nd Tin Monk (that's me) will not be performing at Jive Bar and Restuarant. I will be returning November 29th. However, the Talking Machine duo will be spending the day performing and running sound at the next Chocolate Expo in Secaucus, NJ. If you were paying attention, you will have noticed this banner on the front page:

chocolate expo

Tickets and a general itinerary are available at the website. Consequently, you will see there is another Expo listed in Hartford, CT. and there we will also be performing. Both dates begin and end in the same time frame.. Event starts at 11AM, and we will performing multiple time throughout the day. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

For those of you who are interested, I will also be absent December 6th at the Jive Bar and Restuarant to the Chocolate Expo in Connecticut (see/click above). However, afterwards, I'll be resuming my normal weekly gig there Sundays, 5-8PM

We love chocolate. With aggression and tenderness in equal measure. And indegestion.

Work has begun on album #2. We'll keep you posted.

Calendar

Jive (Tin Monk Solo)
Sunday, November 15th, 2015 Milford, PA 5PM

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Thursday, Early Morning.

RECAP:

JimmyD's was a sp000ooky time. Played to a rowdy crowded of costumed and not-so-costumed patrons, who gave us love and attention. A whole lotta of PR, homemade cooking made by none other than Elsa herself. Man, that shit was good. We'll see you next month.

Weed Orchard's was a relatively sp000ooky time. Well, considering it was the middle of the day in a cafe restaurant at an orchard farm. The kids were in costumes. I guess that could be creepy. Anyway, we had a great time, got fed well, and enjoyed some attention. See you next year.

The Private Party was a private party. I can say, however, that it was most definitely sp000ooky. We love those people.

Jive Bar and Restuarant wasn't particularly sp000ooky, but it was a great time. Saw some farmiliar faces, and some new ones. That place is starting to feel like Monk's (that's me) second home. See you Sunday.

PRECAP:

Two Gigs this weekend:

One Talking Machine/One Tin Monk:

FIRST UP, Second Friday November 13th is Talking Machines montly duo gig at The Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. What's to say? We get fed, get a hotel room, play for a rowdy group of fans, and I get to curse and say horrible things about Poison while we play their biggest hit for the bartender. Our show time is 10:00PM.

As an aberration, Talking Machine will be off Saturday night. While it is highly unusual for us (thus the word "aberration") I'll be spending the day/night completing preperations for the recording of our next album. And then....

LAST UP Sunday November 15th is Tin Monk (that's me) returns to Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA for his weekly, Sunday gigs. This will be a regular thing unless otherwise noted. Show starts at 5PM. HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT.

The Chocolate Expo...was a sexy, sexy time. Got to watch a Master Chefs ply thier trade, played in front of a roving crowd of thousands, and ate chocolate. Best thing to happen to Newburgh in a while. We'll be playing the next iteration of the Chocolate Expo Novemeber 22nd. You'll have more information when we do. See you then.

Tin Monk. Wednesday, Early Morning.

RECAP:

Jive Bar and Restuarant was PACKED!! We had a fantastic time and was honored to share the day with E3 to celebrate Jive's Grand Opening. See you guys next month.

The Shawnee Mountian was COLD!!! We still had a fantastic time, the band played well, the people warmed up to us (figuratively, of course), and we left full of food. See you soon.

Shawnee Craft was INTIMATE!!! Although just about everyone on the mountain was at some festival or something, the peoples that came by to spend the night with us were treated to a virtually private concert. We got to tell stories, and my voice nearly went from getting over this head cold. We'll see you soon.

The Beacon Car show was PACKED, COLD, AND INTIMATE....wait. No. That didn't work out quite right. So forget that. How about this: It was a great time, the cars were awesome, and the Castle (the Sound Man) killed it. The bands were great, the crowd was loving, it was fucking cold, and my voice finally went. It was a great weekend.

So, I rest my voice this week and we get ready for the weekend.

PRECAP:

Three Gigs:

FIRST UP, Friday October 23rd is Talking Machines duo at Max's on Main in Beacon, NY. A monthly gig. Good food. The owner claps to the music out of time. People cheer for us. Other people watch the televisions. We play loud. Sometimes I curse. Our show time is 9:30PM

NEXT UP Saturday October 24th is Talking Machine BAND at The Shire Pub in Delhi, NY. A regular gig. Good food. The Manager loves Concrete Blonde. People Cheer for us. Other people don't. We play loud. Sometimes I curse. Show starts at 9PM.

Tin Monk. Tuesday, Morning.

RECAP:

Our monthly second Friday at The Gaslight Pub was a blast. We got to see some farmiliar faces we hadn't seen in some time, and enjoyed a restful night in Wellsboro. Which was good because...

Nostrono Vineyard was 4 hours away, and we had to be there at 12:30. May not seem like a big deal, but we didn't get done at the Gaslight until 2:30. Regardless, we eventually played to a wine-addled group of fans who gave as much as they recieved. The day went well for Nostrono, and everyone left happy. We packed up all of our shit in record time and bounded to our next gig...

Upfront Gallery was about 45 minutes away, and it while time was tight, we made it work. We played for an artsy-fartsy crowd who gave us a lot of love while enjoying, and buying, the gallery arts. We were then told as the night wound down that in no uncertain terms that we were intergral to the success of the evening, purchasers being compelled to commerce due entirely to our music. Don't know how true that is, but we'll take it.

Got home. Full nights rest, then...

Weed Orchard's. We played inside the cafe. A revolving door of people giving us love in equal measure. We played straight through, and then had a thin crust pizza with an appetizer tray of various meats, cheeses, and fruits. Then we picked a bag of apples from the orchard on the house. We're doing all right.

PRECAP:

A whole lotta gigs this weekend:

FIRST UP, Friday October 16th is Talking Machine's duo debut at Jive Bar and Restuarant in Milford, PA. As some of you may know, I've been playing there the past few Sundays. While they've had what you'd call a "soft opening" for the past few weeks, Talking Machine will be playing their full on "Grand Opening" during the Bear Festival this weekend. A band comprised of three members of Emish, a popular Milford band, called E3 will be performing earlier in the evening. Our show time is 9PM

NEXT UP Saturday October 17th, early morning we'll be at The Shawnee Mountian Food Truck Festival in Shawnee, NY. Three-quaters of the full band (Monk, Dianne, and Jim) played there last year both days. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, we're only going to get to the first day, but this time we'll be sporting the full band (Monk, Dianne, Jim, and Sam). Last year was awesome, and we can't wait. Show starts at 11:30AM.

NEXT UP Saturday October 17th later that night the Duo will be performing at Shawnee Craft in Shawnee, NY. We find it not only convenient but incredibly enjoyable to play there after a morning on the Mountain. The people, both behind and before the bar, are awesome. And, from what I hear, the beer is great. Show starts at 7:00PM.

LAST UP Saturday October 18th, is this:

beacon car show

Click the link!! All the info is there. We headline a car show. CLICK IT!!

GO SEE US. DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN!!!111!!11

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Friday, Afternoon. My bad.

RECAP:

I'm terribly late to post, and we're about to start the work weekend, so I'mma be quick:

Dianne has been on vocal rest for the past couple of weeks. She's been taking it easy, and healing fast. In the interim I've been taking over all of the vocal work (as opposed to our usually 50/50 split), and the peoples have been cool about it. Lots of well wishes and prayers.

The Wherehouse was amazing and supportive as always. People tolerated the Tin Monk only vocals, and found true love in the process. Thanks to all of you for encouraging us musically, creatively, and (for the time being) physically.

Black Dirt Brewhouse was amazing and supportive, given this being only our third time back. We started a bit earlier, so we had more asses in seats that ended up staying and givin up the lovin. As before, a very special thanks to all of you new faces for encouraging us musically, creatively, and (for the time being) physically.

Lastly, The Jive Bar and Lounge has become my second home. I'll be performing there every sunday from November 1st until forever. Talking Machine will perform various Fridays in the near future. I love it there. A very special thanks to all of you new faces for encouraging me musically, creatively...and monetarily. WU-TANG!!

PRECAP:

A whole lotta gigs this weekend:

FIRST UP, Friday October 9th is our monthly second Friday at The Gaslight Pub in Wellsboro, PA. The place is metal, full of smoke, and drunk assholes. A Talking Machine mainstay. Show time is 8PM

NEXT UP Saturday October 10th, early afternoon we'll be at Nostrono Vineyard in Milton, NY. Beautiful plot of land filled with beautiful people. We've been friends with the owners since the beginning, and we're honored to play there again. Show starts at 1:00PM.

NEXT UP Saturday October 10th we return to Upfront Gallery in Port Jervis, NY. We played there last year, and some years before, and it's a celebration of the Artsy Fartsy, and we feel right at home. Love paintings? Show starts at 6:00PM.

LAST UP Saturday October 10th, a place we insisted pay us in food, Weed Orchard's in Marlboro, NY. Not much to say here except they grow everything, and we play just inside a loading dock. It's fucking awesome. Show starts at 1:30PM

GO SEE US. DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN!!!111!!11

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Tuesday, Afternoon.

RECAP:

Jimmy D's Blues Saloon was what it always is...a place where crass, uncompromising people say crass, uncompromising things, and good times are had by all. We recorded the performance, and a good 2/3rds of it is no good. Well the performances are great, but the background is full of so many expletives that in order to make it palatable to the public, the audio would ostensibly become a sine wave. It is glorious. See you %$@!'s next month.

Now Dononvan's Pub was the exact opposite. Basically a place where polite, compromising people say polite, compromising things. And, well, good times were had by all. Come to think of it, perhaps I should have recorded there as well. There'd definitely be a lot less bleeps. Either way, both of those places hold a place in our hearts. Think of them like the id and ego. See you good people next months. You %$@!'s.

PRECAP:

So two Talking Machine gigs and a Tin Monk solo gig this weekend:

FIRST UP, Thursday October 1st, is our monthly first Thursday at The Wherehouse in Newburgh, NY. Go there, buy food, buy drink, watch show. Give tips. Yes. Tips. Show time is 8PM

NEXT UP Saturday October 3rd, we return to Black Dirt Brewhouse in Florida, NY. This is a great (relatively) new spot, and is becoming somewhat of a regular gig for us. The place clean, handsome, food is good, and the bathrooms are awesome. Seriously, you've got to see them for yourself. Show starts at 9:00PM.

LAST UP Sunday October 4th, Tin Monk ('tis I) will return for another Sunday at Jive Bar and Lounge in Milford, PA. Looks like Sundays there are Tin Monk day, and I will be returning weekly. There'll be a break for a few weeks, as Talking Machine will be performing on Sundays for the next few weeks. After that, though, I'll be there same day and time on a weekly basis. This Sunday, though, Show starts at 6PM. Love it. You %@!&'s.

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Monday, Late Evening .

RECAP:

Max's On Main was full of good friends and fans, both drunk and otherwise. It's always a great time there. Seriously. We'll see you next month. Oh, and, Happy Birthday, old man. You know who you are.

Weed Orchard was a resounding success. The owner had his fears assuaged as we played, given his extreme anxiety over volume. Of course, we were just right. I love to be loud but...I get it. Anyway, the people were happy, bought lots and lotsa food, and we had an uncomfortable amount of 3-5 year old dancing as we played. Perhaps we should audition for Sesame Street, or Teletubbies...is that still a thing? Either way, it was a grand time, and we love farm food. Yes. I said that.

PRECAP:

So two Talking Machine gigs and a Tin Monk solo gig this weekend:

FIRST UP Friday September 25th, is our triumphant return to Jimmy D's Blues Saloon in North Bergen, NJ. Been a veeeerrrry long time since we've been down that way, though we've seen Jimmy and his Jersey crew recently. It'll be nice to set up and curse into the microphe for four hours. Show starts at 9:30PM.

NEXT UP, Saturday September 26th, is yet another triumphant return to a place, this time it's Dononvan's Pub in Woodside, Queens, NY. It's been even longer since we've been there, and, man, we are looking forward to it. We developed the saplings of a family relationship with the Owner and his (real) family. Show time is 9PM

THE STEWART HOUSE GIG IS CANCELLED. YOU DON'T LIKE IT? TELL THEM!!! Moving on...

LAST UP: Tin Monk (ME!!) returns to Jive in Milford, PA. Both sides loved each other so much, we begin a very mutually beneficial endeavor. Looks like I'll be performing there every Sunday for the foreseeable future. Of course, I say that....we'll see. Either way, I'm back this Sunday. Show starts at 6PM.

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

I mentioned this a few times already, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Sunday, Early Morning.

UPDATING:

Tin Monk. Early Friday Morning. (SEE BELOW).

RECAP:

The Gaslight kicked alot of ass. The room was filled with cigarette smoke and people smoking. Obviously. We hate the smoke but love the people. Everyone, including ourselves, was enjoying the feel. We got a lot of love, and we love being there. See you next month.

The Andes Hotel kicked alot of ass. The room was filled with the aroma of myriad Chili's. Not the franchise, or the pepper, but the meal. There was a cookoff with judges and winners and some such nonsense. As far as I'm concerned, EVERYONE was a winner. Well...the ones that gave me free chili. Regardless, a great time had by all. We were inside due to inclement weather, and as such had a VERY intimate crowd in a warm, great sounding room. We had a great time. We'll see you next month in Delhi.

PRECAP:

So two (no three!) gigs this weekend:

FIRST UP Friday September 18th, is our monthly show at Max's On Main in Beacon, NY. Last time, the place with packed with an exceedingly attentive crowd. Let's make that a thing, shall we? Great. Love ya, babe. Show starts at 9:30PM.

NEXT UP, Saturday September 19th, is a performance at Weed Orchard. We nabbed that gig through the referrals of a few friends. We are honored. They are paying us with part money and a food voucher. Perhaps if the September really is the end of civilization as we know it, we could entertain the plebes for food. I'm good with that. Show time is 2:30PM

UPDATE: Last minute gig at Jive in Milford, PA. It's a brand spanking new place that hasn't even had it's Grand Opening. Tin Monk (that's me) will be performing a rare solo gig for a couple of hours. Think of it like a Talking Machine gig without the tattoos and estrogen.

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Tuesday, Late evening.

RECAP:

So, we had an eventful, entertaining, if rather broken-the-fuck-up weekend. Our work week started with our Thursday at The Wherehouse, within and with which we celebrated our 5th anniversary there. It was a night full of farmiliar faces, and we sounded pretty damn good if I do say so myself. The crowd say so themselves. As well. Ahem.

Plattekill Mountain on Saturday kicked alot of ass. We performed outside on an old flatbed. Let me tell you, I can't explain why, but I want one of those. And I'd use it as a stage, no question. We played to an a crowd that began as like-what-the-hell-is-this-shit, and eventually turned into holy-shit-this-is-awesome. We had a phenomenal time. While it was the last of this kind of performance for them before the cold season, we WILL be back again next summer with the band.

Monday ended our Labor Day weekend with a loooong gig at Billy Joe's Ribworks. We ended up with an attentive crowd, scored a few private parties, and booked some more gigs for next year. They cooked my steak up real nice, as well. Didn't even have to use my AK. Have to say it was a good day.

PRECAP:

So two gigs this weekend:

FIRST UP Friday September 8th, is our monthly second Friday show at The Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. Love it. Always. Show starts at 10PM.

NEXT UP, Saturday September 9th, is a performance at The Andes Hotel, as the duo, for this:

Chili Cookoff

We are looking forward to seeing all of fans from up there, and I am looking forward to "judging" the chili contestants. As far as I'm concerned, they are all winners. Show starts at 2PM.

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

I mentioned this a few times already, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

POSTING:

Tin Monk. Monday, Late evening.

RECAP:

The Andes Hotel was awesome. Cans and Clams is always a joy, and while we never indulge in the cans, I had a bucket full of clams, replete with butter that ended up in the beard. Regardless, they catered and we performed to a sold out crowd, and recieved much love all around. We even got a surprise visit by our New Jersey Crew from Jimmy D's. See you in September for the Chili Cookoff.

Mazzstock was absolutely awesome. We blew the tents off the property as the full band, and followed it up with an hour and a half performing with the Mazzstock All-Stars, fronted by none other than Lee Mazzola himself. We were honored by alot of our fans who purchased tickets to the event and camped out with us. The sound engineering, helmed by Cosmal, was some of the best yet seen at Mazzstock. Cheers to Vinny, Victoria, Lee and every-fucking-body for putting together such a great festival. See you next year.

PRECAP:

So two gigs this weekend, and one on Monday:

FIRST UP Thursday September 3rd, is our monthly first-Thursday show at The Wherehouse in Newburgh, NY. Our second home and honorary base of operations, we're looking forward to playing to our local fans and eating steak salad. It's a Duo show, and Show starts at 6PM. Here's the Facebook Event.

NEXT UP, Saturday September 5th, is a performance at Plattekill Mountain with the Full Band in...Plattekill, NY. Obviously. Show starts at 3PM and is part of their Music on the Mountain series, a free concert where they feature bands of the valley. This particular event will also include an inagural ribbon cutting of Plattekill's new carpet lift. Also BBQ. It is Labor Day Weekend after all.

Speaking of Labor Day, LAST UP, Monday September 7th we return to Billy Joe's Ribworks. Not much to say except we'll be there for 5 hours. You should be, too. Maybe not for 5 hours, but there nonetheless. Show Starts at 2PM.

HAPPY LABOR DAY, 'AIR'BODY!!!

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

Max's On Main was a packed house full of awesome. The Duo performed to a fully present audience. It's been some time since we've had such an attentive crowd inside those walls, and we are grateful for it, no question. We'll see you next month.

The private party was a party that was private. Happy Birthday.

Black Dirt Brewhouse, while not packed to the brim, was full of fans only. Every single ass in a seat was there to see us. We own those asses. We own asses. That's right. I said it. We'll be seeing that ass.

Happy Jack's Stewart House was a blast as always. The Full Band played to a hungry house of music lovers of all ages. Well, all ages old enough to drink. The cocktail kit I built worked well, as far as the drummer says. It sounded great, too. Good times had by all.

Yasgur Farms was a blast as always. "Always" meaining "this and the last time we played". The Full Band played to a hungry field of music lovers of all ages. We were on a much larger stage this year, and the sound guys did a bang up job helping us sound awesome. Awesomer. They didn't even give me any shit for my guitar set up. Special thanks to Rachel Holt and the Yasgur Crew for making us feel welcome. We'll (hopefully) see you next year.

Mountain Vista Campground was a blast as always. The Duo played to a hungry pavallion of music lovers of all ages. We ended up performing before a large group of campers, and had a great time bantering with the audience. We'll definitely see you guys next season.

Billy Joe's Ribworks was a blast as always. The Duo played to a hungry bar of music lovers of legal ages. Saw some old and new faces, jammed a bit with a one of the bikers who come hang out every Sunday. Great people watching. That place is too much. See you all soon.

RECAP:

So this past weekend was pretty awesome.

We played to a packed house at Max's On Main, celebrating 5 years since our first bar gig at Max's together. Here's to five more. It was a great night to be Talking Machine. We'll see you next month.

We played to a packed...campsite at Moutain Vista Campground. We even saw a few farmiliar faces. You'd be surprised how many people will remember a two-piece band featuring a bearded asshole and a tattooed woman performing at a campsite...even after a full year. It was great to see everyone's campfire seared faces...old and new. See you in August.

PRECAP:

So, we don't have anything listed this week, since we are going on haitus. Just for the week, though. So it's more of a break. Or a vacation. We're taking our first real vacation since beginning so many years ago. Here's to our fans. We'll be back in two weeks, refreshed and ready to kick everyone's fucking ass. Musically speaking, of course. I'll update the webpage next Tuesday. See you soon!

Have a great week everyone.

Keep it guttah. Or don't. Whatever.

Max's On Main
Friday July 24nd, 2015, Beacon, NY 9:30PM

Moutain Vista Campground
Saturday July 25, 2015, East Stroudsburg, NY 7PM

Tuesday Afternoon. Here we go.

RECAP:

So this past weekend was pretty awesome.

The Shire Pub was feckking awesome. There was some obvious trepidation about the full band, and I could see the regulars who were used to the Two-Piece were full of fear, excitement, and doubt. But we put on a show. By the end, it was a "when you comin' back" type of vibe. We had a great time. We can't wait to bring the full band back in October.

The last two gigs were a Wedding and Private Party, respectively. Not much to say except "We had a great time, Congratulations!" and "It was great to see you again!". Respectively.

PRECAP:

Let's make it.

Three gigs this weekend:

First up is Max's On Main in Beacon, NY on Friday July 24nd. Show starts at 9:30PM. This particular gig happens to not only be our Fifth Year Anniversary since our first bar stage, but the very bar that we first shared the stage at a bar, that we were on, five years ago...stage....bar....*cough*. Come celebrate poor punctuation, run on sentences, and our Anniversary at Max's. Here's the Facebook Event.

Last up we are headed up towards Moutain Vista Campground on Saturday July 25. We'll be in East Stroudsburg, NY with the Two-Piece Band. Show starts at 7PM. If you're all up in there camping, come on down and watch us be awesome in a forest.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Keep it guttah. Or don't. Whatever.

RECAP:

So this past weekend was pretty awesome.

The Wherehouse was awesome as always. Just about everyone in the building was there to see us, and we got and gave love. Big ups to Joey and Tommy for being Joey and Tommy. See you next month.

The Gaslight was also awesome as always. We got to see some new doubting faces who we converted into Talking Machine fans. Big ups to Ashley and Heidi for being Ashley and Heidi. See you next month.

Nostrano Vineyards was also, also awesome as always. It really is quite beautiful up there. We got to play just outside the Tasting Room, over looking the vineyard proper. The family when from fans to friends to family, and we love performing for them. You should click the link and make your way up there. Assuming you're a wino. See you sometime soon.

Lastly, we have a private party at a Country Club in Upstate New York.. It was awesome. Never seen so many people so hungry to dance and have a great time. Keep in mind the median age there was 60, and it was after a weekend of Golfing. Let's all pray we are as spritely and full of life as we get older. Can't wait to go back.

PRECAP:

Let's make it.

Three gigs this weekend:

First up is The Shire Pub on Saturday July 17th in Delhi, NY. Show starts at 8:30PM. This particular gig is a last minute Full Band gig, featuring Jim Lucas on bass and Sam Allen on drums. Should be an assload of fun. Here's the Facebook event.

Saturday July 18th and Sunday July 19th we perform at a Wedding and a Private Party respectively. Not much to say except "Congratulations" and "How've you guys been?". Respectively.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

RECAP:

Billy Joe's Ribworks was interesting. So interesting in fact, we played there twice. Friday and Sunday. Great for steak and people watching. Monk got lotsa sun, too. We'll be back soon, no doubt.

Shawnee Craft Brewing was fakking great. We even arrived to find the Craft Pub sporting a shiny new stage, and a lot of thirsty patrons. We got a lot of love, sold a bunch of CD's, and went home refreshed.

Saturday was the private party. Can't say much except that we were asked to perform Stairway to Heaven (Yes. Stairway), and I have to say not only did it go over well, it was the best song of the night. We love you guys.

PRECAP:

Max's On Main was a great time had by all. Some faces we hadn't seen in awhile came through and stuck around to show support. By the end of the night, the place was full, and it was awesome.

Billy Joe's Ribworks was cancelled due to weather. We'll be there Friday, though, so it's cool.

Spruce Hill Inn was fantastic. While we didn't have the full band, we still go the love and some more audio/video footage. I'm horrible at hitting my deadlines with that stuff, so I'll just say that I'll post if I get something good.

Newburgh Illuminated Festival was an interesting time. The Festival itself is a great boon for Newburgh, and it was awesome to see everyone getting together to celebrate it history and personality. The performance went well enough, even given the sound problems. We look forward to volunteering next year.

RECAP:

So a quick once over on the past weekend: The Wherehouse was a blast as always. It was good to see some old friends (LIONHEART!!!), spend a few hours in our home away from home.

O'daly's Bar and Grill with the quartet was a phenomenal time. 'Twas my birthday, as some of you knew, and it was good to see the fans, friends, and family come through to show support for the band and celebrate another of my years. Jim and Sam kicked ass. Dianne, of course, took care of Daddy. It was a good night. Oh, and I had some good ass cupcakes, too.

was full of great friends and fans who gave as much energy as they took. It's also hearting for us to see a group of people who love the Duo AND the band for different reasons, but with equal strength. As far as the private party, all I can say is that everyone had a great time, and Joey Ricci (who took the helm for Sam for the night) did an amazing job. It was a great night.

Billy Joe's Ribworks was Billy Joe's. Lots of people. Lots of love.

Our Black Dirt Brewhouse debut as the Duo when swimmingly. We got to see some farmiliar faces, and saw knew faces enjoying their time with us. We look forward to returning August 22nd.

Happy Birthday to Tin Monk.

PRECAP:

Simply had a wonderful Full Band time. The Spruce Hill Inn was full of great friends and fans who gave as much energy as they took. It's also hearting for us to see a group of people who love the Duo AND the band for different reasons, but with equal strength. As far as the private party, all I can say is that everyone had a great time, and Joey Ricci (who took the helm for Sam for the night) did an amazing job. It was a great weekend.

PRECAP:

Our second is yet another Full Band gig at O'daly's Bar and Grill in Milton, NY, this time with Sam returning to the drum kit. It'll be our second time performing there. Last is our debut at Black Dirt Brewhouse, show starting at 9:30PM. This is another Duo gig and we are excited to perform there. I personally haven't played in Florida, NY in years, and I'm glad to be going back with my wife.

Saturday May 30th, 2015

Tuesday. On our way to normalcy. Of course, it's almost dinner time, but what'r ya'gonna do?

RECAP:

The past weekend was glorious as always. Max's on Main gave us the love, and burgers. It was surprisingly packed given it was a Memorial Day Friday. The Shire Pub gave us love, and vegetables. That's right. Vegetables. It's a healthy gig. Last us was the Private Party. They also gave us love and food. It was tasty, lovely weekend.

Moving on.

PRECAP:

Let's get to it.

So, only two gigs this week. However, BOTH of them feature the full band.

First up is Friday May 29th at The Spruce Hill Inn. This gig will include Jim Lucas on bass, and Sam Allen on drums. It's a $5 cover, and the show starts at 9:00PM. Here's the event.

Our second and last gig this weekend is Saturday May 30th. This will be a private event. As an aside, Joey Ricci will be subbing for Sam Allen. He's a great drummer, and we are glad to have him be part of the clan.

There it is. See you Friday. Unless you're the people who hired us for the party. Then we'll see YOU Saturday.

WU-TANG!!

Well. It's Wednesday, and I'm just now posting. We're fighting our way back to routine.

RECAP:

So if you've been keeping score, last week I had a very late post in which I explained I was undergoing a monumental untertaking, namely, the systemic migration from Windows to GNU/Linux. So encompassing has been this thing that I realized I've had the wrong week listed at the top of this page for nearly a month, I've been very late with posts, and I think I misspelled "Learjet" as "Leer Jet" last week. What can you do? Anyway, if you're curious, it's still going well, and I'm usuing Linux MInt Debian Edition, Version 2.

Moving on.

Jimmy D's Blues Saloon showed us much love as always, and it was good to see Jimmy D and the boys. See you in June. The Stewart House greeted us with the warmest of receptions. Everyone from the patrons to the Owner showed us appreciation, and we genuinely love it there. Looking forward to returning with the band next month. And last but certainly not least, Billy Joe's Ribworks. Played our 5 hour stretch outside on the deck, got to see some old friends, and had a $25. There you go. See you next time.

I didn't even have to use my AK. I have to say it was a good day.

PRECAP:

Let's get to it.

Another Three For ALL:

First up on Saturday, May 22nd, we are back to our favorite Beacon spot, Max's on Main. We start at 9:30PM Sharp. Share it with someone you love. Food is great. Bring your own coffee. Here's the Facebook event.

Next up is Dehli's own Shire Pub, Saturday May 23rd. One of the few places we play where I can say "they tip us with fruits and vegetables", and not only be speaking the truth, but doing so with enthusiasm. We live lean, people. We ain't hard to please. But money is better.

Lastly on Sunday May 23rd we perform at a private event. For us to know and you to find out. Unless you were the ones who hired us. Then you know alreadly. Ahem.

It's gonna be good.

Well. It's Friday, and I'm just now posting. Let me explain:

RECAP:

I've been trying and succeeding somewhat to maintain some semblence of routine where updates are concerned. It got pretty steady. My schedule made Tuesday the oppurtune day to update, and it was working. The I decided to switch to GNU/Linux for all of our business machines. Let me tell you...going from Windows to GNU/Linux is like being a passanger on a Leer Jet to becoming the pilot just after takeoff. Plus, you've got, like, a hangover or something. Also you suffer from motion sickness. Maybe you've got some paper cuts, too.

Moving on.

While the initial learning curve was steep, I have to say that recent distrobutions of GNU/Linux are pretty amazing. I tried this years ago and it was an utter disaster. Needless to say I'm all set up now, and ready from prime-time. The ultimate goal is to use this system to record our next album. I'll keep you posted.

Newsletter will be functional soon, as well.

So, very quickly:

The Wherehouse was awesome as always. The Gaslight Pub was a fun-filled room full of locals and cursing. My Place Pizza was fantastic, reception to our originals was emmense, and we can't wait to go back. Billy Joe's Ribworks loves us, so we played 5 hours straight, with no breaks. It was a hell of a weekend.

PRECAP:

Let's get to it.

First up May 15th, our favorite biker bar, Jimmy D's Blues Saloon. We love you Jimmy. See you guys in North Bergen tonight at 9:30PM.

Next up is our debut at The Stewart House in Athens, NY. The place looks beautiful, and we are excited to play. Next month, in fact, we'll be performing with the full band. Saturday, May 16th, however, it's the Duo. We start at 8PM.

Last up is Billy Joe's Ribworks once again. Sunday May 17th. 4PM-9PM. I'm still debating on the whole "5 hour stretch" thing. Either way, it's in Newburgh on the waterfront. If it's nice out, we'll be playing outside. See you there.

RECAP:

So, yeah, we were a little busy last weekend. So, yeah, it was pretty awesome. The NYC Bike Expo went off without a hitch. The coordinators were on point, and treated us like VIP's. There were billions of people, and overall a positive feel throughout. Dianne and I enjoyed returning to the city and performing by the river. As it turned out, the coordinators realized we should be amplified and we nice enough to patch us through there small PA set up. We played through a single mic placed strategically between us. It was kind of liberating. We are grateful to the whole Expo crew for setting us up and taking care of us.We hope to see you next year. Oh, and thanks for the parking spot.

And so, lastly, I must speak about the phenomenal time we had at the Rock Lounge at Southern Dutchess Bowl. Bloated Toad was great, Rutigliano and Jerry have a great chemistry and sound especially. We blew the roof off the place, as corny as that sounds, and everyone was on thier feet, young and old. Jim Lucas and Sam Allen, of course, played thier asses off. Overall, it was an it was an exceptional gig, and we are looking forward to returning.

PRECAP:

Let's get to it.

So yeah, we are a little busy this week. Four gigs this weekend:

First up is our monthly first Thursday at the Wherehouse in Newburgh, NY. Feels like forever since we've been there. It'll be good to be back home. Show starts at 8PM sharp. Here's the event.

Next up is our monthly second Friday at the Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. It's rare, amusing, and frightening when our first Thursday and second Friday follow one directly after the other. Show starts at 10PM. Be afraid.

Next up, we are happy to be a part of an all original show hosted by Outsider Magazine. You'll find the banner link further below that will take you to The Magazine's Website. Here's the vital specs: May 9th, Talking Machine Duo will be performing along with three other bands (Cell 63, Martyr Art, and the Gentlemen) at My Place Pizza hosted by Outsider Magazine. Here's the Facebook Event.

Last up, we return to Billy Joe's Ribworks in Newburgh for a Sunday afternoon gig. Mother's Day. Show starts at 2PM.

Saturday May 2nd, 2015, Fishkill, NY [show starts] 8PM

Tuesday post. I think this is becoming a trend. Let's go with that.

So this weekend was pretty awesome. We performed at Jimmy D's. We love that guy and his place. One of the few places we get to play loud and curse all night. Then, we had a wonderful debut at Billy Joe's Ribworks. A surprisingly receptive crowd coupled with steak and fries makes Monk a happy boy. We have a bunch more dates there, and are happy to be returning soon. Lastly, as always, was the Spruce. We love the Spruce. It's rare to find a crowd so willing to give equal parts love to not only the full band, but the Duo as well. Next time we are there is Band time. None of us can wait.

Lets get to it.

Three gigs, two places this weekend:

So, in a strange twist of awesome, Dianne and I will be returning to the NYC as performers after many, many years. However, there is an irony: In the distant past, we played in earache inducing rock bands, cut our teeth in various clubs around the island, and never got payed a cent. This time, however, we will be: completely without amplification, ostensibly street performers, and especially well payed for our time. Oh, how times have a-changed. Where is this awesome thing happening, you ask? The NYC Bike Expo. More specifically, the Beer Garden. We have to performance dates lined up: Friday, we perform from 3PM to 7PM, and Saturday from 12PM to 4PM. This event is open to the public, of course.

Lastly, we will be returning to the Rock Lounge at Southern Dutchess Bowl, sharing the stage with openers Bloated Toad. Of course this will feature the entire band, and will mark the first time we've shared a stage with the Toad. Last time we blew the doors off, and we plan on doing it just the same. Show starts a 8PM, we get on stage at 10PM to Midnight. Here's the Facebook Event. And a tiny poster:

So.

Tuesday, in the early morn. Well, at least it's earlier.

As is become custom, let me begin this post by going over our adventures this weekend. As some of you may know, we played at Max's on Main on Friday, Rock Fantasy in Middletown early Saturday afternoon, and Babe's Bar and Grille in Haverstraw later that evening. Both days were beautiful, both seasonally and musically. In order, perfomances included a Bar/Restaurant, a Metal Records store, and a birthday party at a Bar and Grille. Not a bad way to spend a weekend. To give you an indication of the kind of weekend had by all, here's what it looked like at the Rock Fantasy:

so...many...posters...

Lets get to it.

Two gigs this weekend:

First on the list is Jimmy D's in North Bergen. Show's on Friday, starts at 10PM. Bring your biker vest, and a filthy mouth.

Next up is our debut at Billy Joe's Ribworks. Show's on Saturday, starts at 3PM. I hear the food is killer, and I know the entertainment will be as well. Here's the event.

Last up is the Spruce Hill Inn in Putnam Valley. Show's on Saturday, starts at 9:00PM. Just the Duo this time, but you know we keep it gangsta just the same. Yes, you heard me. Gangsta. That's what I said. Here's the event.

Saturday April 18th, 2015, Middletown, NY 1:00PM

Babe's
Saturday April 18th, 2015, Haverstraw, NY 9:30PM

Tuesday, in the early morn. Well, at least it's earlier.

This past weekend was a journey of religious preportions. As you may know we had our monthly second Friday at the Gaslight, as well as a Saturday night gig at the Andes. While I can't go into tedious specifics, all I can say is that Talking Machine learned that a sense of gratitude, a sense of honor, and a sense of obedience leads to a sense of comfort. And money. Cryptic, I know.

Nevertheless, we are blessed to do what we do, and we are glad to share it with all of you. Whether we continue on this way, or end up at MSG, we are grateful.

Enough of that shit. Lets get to it.

Three gigs this weekend:

First on the menu is Max's on Main on Friday. We love it there. And people love us there. And the Owners love us there. The Owners love the people that love us there. Love. There. Show starts at 9:30PM. You'll love us and the Owners there. It's in Beacon. And stuff.

Next up is Rock Fantasy in Middletown. This place, and this event, in particular has become an annual shin-dig for both parties. It's record store, among other things, that specializes in Metal, everything from vinyl to merch. To give you an idea of the vibe, it's a lot of patches, denim and leather jackets, death metal t's, glass blowing, comic book posters, and pinball machines. If that doesn't sound awesome, something is wrong with you. This year Steve (the owner) has upped the ante, and is hosting a whole bunch of bands, and we are happy to be apart of it. It will be a straight metal set, so come by if you are awesome. We play at 1:00PM.

Last up is a bar-gig-cum-birthday-party at a place called Babe's Bar and Grille in Haverstraw. It will be our second time performing there, as well as a chance to see our extended family of friends. Show starts at 9:30PM. Although it became a celebration of one of the crews birthday, even if you don't know anyone who'll be attending, I can think of no other group of people better suited with which to share a drink.

Wednesday. Yup.

So last weekend we had a rare "vacation" of sorts. No gigs, save our venerable First Thursday at the Wherehouse, which was filled to the brim with people come to see us, and indulge in food and drink. They stayed right down till the end, and it was a fantastic time.

We also had an oppurtunity to perform at WJFF. If you tuned in, you heard some banter between Kevin Mcdonald and the duo, including info on our setup, writing habits, and influences. We performed live, scaled down versions of song from our debut, The Hammer and The Dove, and even had a caller suggest a genre for our music. Progressive Hippie Bolero Jazz. Does it work? You decide. Thank you WJFF and Kevin for having us.

Lets get to it.

First up, we resume our monthly Second-Friday at the Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. We miss that place, and have some choice requests we are honor bound to perform. Plus, we want to, which is more important. If you're in the area show starts at 9PM. This place is metal.

Last but not least is our return to Andes Hotel in Andes, NY this Saturday. Not much to say except it starts at 9PM, and they have the best steak in all of Upstate NY. As far as I know.

On the front page you may have noticed some banners. Here's an explaination in order:

May 2nd, we will be returning to the Rock Lounge at the Souther Dutchess Bowl, this time performing with one less band, no cover, and a longer set. We'll be sharing the stage with Bloated Toad. The gig is made possible by the Rutigliano Group.

June 20th we'll be playing at the Newburgh Illuminated Festival. Not much to say here except that it'll be our debut at the festival, we'll be sharing the stage with a vast array of awesome, and we are looking forward to it.

August 28-30. We will be performing 8PM, August 29th. This will be our 5 year playing at the birthday party-cum-festival. Thirty bands, three days, and two stages. We'll be sharing the stage Saturday Night with the Alpha Male Gorillas, as well as participating in a performance with the Mazzstock All-Stars, warming the stage up for the headlining artist, Consider the Source.

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

On time. Let's not start celebrating just yet.

As always, this weekend was a romp. Jimmy D's was a long, glorious night of metal covers, drunk patrons, insult volleys, and curse words. We love it there.

The Shire, as always, was warm and welcoming. It is also becoming the de facto venue for us to acquire vegetables. Yes, among the many forms of gratiouity we procure at our performance, the Shire is one of but two place that have tipped us with produce. And yes, we encourage this in tandem with money.

All right, now. Let's get to it.

So first up on April 2nd is our monthly First-Thursday Wherehouse gig, in Newburgh. The ritualistic nature of these gigs lends itself to rejuvination as we press into our monthly pilgrimages. A home away from home. Show starts at 8PM. Here's the Event.

While the rest of the weekend is a wash in terms of full shows, Saturday April 4th we've been asked to appear on WJFF 90.5 for an interview/performance. It will be the first of it's kind for Talking Machine, and we are looking forward to it. We'll be on at 1:00PM, and it'll last about an hour. See...Hear you there?

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

The Shire Pub
Saturday March 28th, 2015, Delhi, NY 9:30

Tuesday. Better'n last week.

Max's On Main and the Spruce were both warm, welcoming, and w-amazing. Ahem. Max's gave a rousing ovation during our performance of "I'm In Love with a Stripper", which included the rich poetic imagery penned by Mike Jones, and the Spruce fell in love with the full band (which included Jim Lucas and Sam allen), even after a rough start. It was an awesome feeling to see a room full of people mouthing the words to our songs as we performed them.

While we have a great many places we play, and we love them all, there are spots that allow us a chance to experiment and grow musically, even as we entertain.

It was a good weekend.

Let's get to it.

So first, it's Jimmy D's on Friday at 9:30PM. Nothing I can say I haven't said before, except perhaps that we love Jimmy as much as he loves us, and always have a great time there. Jersey!

Next up is the Shire Pub, a place we've frequented for years. Not much to say here except to come through if you're upstate. Show starts at 9:30PM Saturday.

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

I mentioned this a few times already, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

Wednesday. Hump.

Before we get started, we'd like to say that our two debuts when swimmingly: The full band at Odaly's went off without a hitch. Some good friends and fans from the area (and some very impressed patrons) came around, stuck around and gave a listen. The room sounds great, and we are looking forward to playing there again.

Temple Hill t\Tavern gave the duo a resounding ovation, after an initial "who the hell is these guys?" sorta vibe. We ended up having a smashing time, and it was nice to see the patrons disappointed that we had to leave. We'll be back for certain.

And because it's awesome, here's a flier Dianne whipped up with our upcoming gigs:

Gig Lineup March/April/May

Let's get to it.

A couple of faithful, repeat venues for the peoples:

First up is Max's on Main. Feels like we haven't been there since forever, so it'll be good to be back. Show starts up at 9:30PM. Here's the Event on Facebook.

Last up this weekend is The Spruce Hill Inn, a place that has become a favorite of ours. We be performing with the full band (which includes Jim Lucas on Bass and Sam Allen on Drums), and, while I know I always say this, I'm going to make an effort to record. Take that for what it's worth. Show starts at 9PM, and Here's the Facebook Event.

Thanks again to all the party peoples who have, do, and will show us love in the coming years.

Thursday post. Better'an'nothin.

Before we begin, we managed to break over 1000 likes on our Facebook page. There is someone laughing histerically at this, but those of you who aren't total assholes will see that it's a milestone for us. We wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to old fans and new who helped us rise to another level. Here's to thousands more.

Let's get to it.

This week we have debut performances at two venues:

First up is Odaly's Pub and Grill. A great little spot in Milton, NY. We will be performing with the four piece (which includes Jim Lucas on bass and Sam Allen on drums). The show starts at 8PM and ends at 11PM. Here's the event.

Second new place is Temple Hill Tavern, a little bar/eatery in New Windsor. It just the Duo, and we'll be playing for a couple of hours. Show starts at 9:30PM. Here's the event.

The Wherehouse

The Roadhouse
Saturday March 07th, 2015, Airmont, NY 9:30PM

No excuses. Thursday posts are bad form. BUT....here you go:

So, before I post the lineup this weekend, I must say we had a palpably religious experience this weekend. One long thread of experiences that created one complete, metaphoric Sweater of the God.

While Jimmy D's is always a blast, this Friday's performance was electrically charged, and it was good to see the boys from Fourth Watch, and the President Augie from Twisted. Of course, having Jimmy front and center is usually a treat. It's also one of the few places I can unload expletives at the speed of sound.

Shawnee was uniquely marvelous this weekend, with special thanks to our new fans up in Shawnee, the wonderful woman whose kindness gave us comfort, and found our wallet, and to the People of Shawnee craft, who think I'm hilarious. And awesome. Both true.

Let's get to it.

First up is The Wherehouse in Newburgh. It's our monthly first Thursday. Not much more to say other than "Go!". Beer is good (so I've heard), and the food is great (so I've experienced). Starts at 8PM. Here's the event.

We are off Friday, and will be using the time to record some footage of the Duo. Not married footage, mind you, band footage. THEN married footage.

Lastly, we return to the Roadhouse in Airmont. The food there is pretty good, and it's always a pleasure to see the Haverstraw crew. Here's the event. Starts at 9:30PM

Here's to another great weekend.

I mentioned this a few times already, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

Well, posting on Wednesday ain't bad. Nothing of value was lost.

Before we begin, let us say special thanks to everyone this weekend, The Gaslight, The Wherehouse, and The Andes Hotel. The Gaslight was patient and sexy while wading through some brief sound troubles, only to be rewarded with the crowd favorites, as well as some new songs we've added recently. Always a pleasure.

The Wherehouse gave us a warm welcome, especially given the fact we performed as the full band (with Jim Lucas on Bass, and Sam Allen on drums). The performance went swimmingly, and we had a great time hanging out. John Redden and the Redden Brother's Band were awesome, and it was good to see them again. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay all night, since that night, we had a gig at the Andes Hotel.

It was cold and snowy as shit, the roads were brutal, and Dianne lost her voice. In the end, though, I sang for three straight hours, Dianne kept impeccable time, the crowd was supportive and warm, and we made it home safe and sound.

Thanks to all of you. What an amazing weekend. Oh, and Dianne is fine now.

Let's get started, shall we?

This weekend we start off on Friday at Jimmy D's in North Bergen, NJ. It's our monthly family affair. We start off at 9:30PM, and not much more to say here other than we love Jimmy, and the bikers that show us love.

On Saturday we have a double header: EZ Bumps at Shawnee Mountain Ski Resort, a small bar and eatery at the base of the mountain at 3:30, and Shawnee Craft, a small brewery/bar five minutes from the Resort, which start at 8PM. If you're in Shawnee, here are two oppurtunities to catch us as the duo. Here's the event for both.

Here's to another great weekend.

I mentioned this a few times already, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

Late again. Next.

Talking Machine would first like to wish everyone a belated Happy Valentines Day, for what it is worth. We had a great time at The Tin Whistle and Max's On Main, which got a heaping helping of new material we performed especially for the occasion. Some of the songs will even make the rotation. Nothing says love like "I'm In Love with a Stripper". Yup.

Let's get started, shall we?

This weekend we start off with The Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. Our monthly spot. Well, technically its our second Friday of every month spot, however, due to circumstances outside of our control, not only is this not the second Friday, but we are skipping a month after this weekend. Fret not, sexy peoples, we shall return Friday, April 10th, and resume our regularly scheduled program. Start at 10PM.

Next up, we will be lend a short set to our home away from home, The Wherehouse in Newburgh, NY. They will celebrating their 6th Anniversary with a slew of bands attending the affair. Our performance is slotted for 2PM. Here's the Event. A list of the other bands is posted as well. Congratulations, Dan Brown. Here's to many more years. For both of us.

Last but not least, Talking Machine returns we return to The Andes Hotel, a great little mountain spot up in Andes, NY, with the best steak in the area. Come through if you're close by, or on vacation. Here's the Event.

Max's On Main Valentine's Day Party
Saturday February 14th, 2015, Beacon, NY 9:30PM

Well that didn't take long. While I had my reason, there is no excuse. My post is late. One-thousand pardons.

Talking Machine had a rewarding work-weekend. Thursday was the Wherehouse: Fans and Friends came out in spite of the cold, and the burgers were awesome; Friday was the Shire, where we were shown much love and were given tips in the form of locally farm grown vegetables. Yes. I wrote that. It became soup; Then, a private party at an historic manor upstate. A group of friends with families came together to celebrate a birthday, and gave us much love, food, and coffee. All was good.

Let's get started, shall we?

This weekend is Valentine's Day weekend. A day for lonely souls to drink, for boyfriends and husbands to spend money they don't have, for couples to fight over unrealized expectations, and relationships of every kind to bare the cracks in the facade. What better time to go to a bar and listen to live music!!!

First up, Talking Machine returns for a rare gig at the Tin Whistle, a bar in Peekskill, NY. Show starts at 8:30. Full "Valentine's Day" set. Nothing but songs about Love. In all it's forms. Note we did not say "love songs". Here's the Event.

Next up, Talking Machine returns we return to Max's On Main, one of monthly mainstays. Show starts at 9:30PM. As said above, Full "Valentine's Day" set. Nothing but songs about Love. In all it's forms. Note we did not say "love songs". Here's the Event.

I mentioned this last week, and it bears repeating, if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

It was a phenomenal weekend for us, and this weekend should be equally amazing. It better be.

Posted on time. Yes.

So first, let me say that our debut performance at the newly branded Rock Lounge was a success. I'm sure I'll find some footage or photos somewhere, but I'll tell it felt and sounded great. Special thanks to the Rutigliano Group for putting it together, and to The Costellos and Chowderhead for opening for us. Here's to more gigs. Oh, and, as always, Jim Lucas and Sam Allen were top notch. Here's to many more gigs together. Keep an eye out for the Talking Machine Band at a theatre near you.

Let's get started:

First up, our monthly gig at the Wherehouse, back on schedule. Not much to say here, other than fine food, fine beverages, and fine service. We love the Wherehouse. Gig starts at 8PM and ends at 11PM. Here's the Event.

Next up, a gig in Delhi, NY. The Shire Pub. We play there semi-regularly, trading shows between The Pub and it's Sister establishment, the Andes Hotel. Gig starts at 9PM. Here's the Event.

Finally, we the featured band at a private party. Can't say much more, other than if you're interested in booking Talking Machine go here, or email us at talkingmachine (at) imperfeckt (dot) com.

It was a phenomenal weekend for us, and we will continue it through the week, and into the year. Thanks to everyone who has rejuvenated us this New Year, and keeps us working and excelling. We hope to see you all soon.

Post on time. I love living. And you love that I love it. And Preposistions. Where they at?

So, first, we LOVE Babe's Bar and Grille. It was our first time playing there, and we had a great time. It was great to see our Haverstraw crew, a group who became intrumental in what we've become, for many reasons. We hope to back there soon. Oh, and the Burgers will murder you. I hear the ribs are even better. I'll be back there regardless.

Of course, Jimmy D's was and is always a treat for us. Jimmy made an appearance, as did the Hoboken MC, and a lot of appreciation ensued.

My wife summed it up: "It was a wild weekend in Talking Machine's world and we are grateful and relieved to announce that there are still people and places out there that appreciate the live music! Jimmy D's and Babe's both took very good care of us and we look forward to going back soon!"

First up is a gig at the Spruce Inn in Putnam Valley, one of the best sounding rooms in the Hudson Valley. No contest. We've developed a mutual appreciation, the Spruce and Talking Machine, and we are glad to be back. Starts at 9PM. Event Listing.

Next up:

We managed to score a last minute booking in Haverstraw at 8PM at a place called Babe's Bar and Grille. From what we understand, they've been there forever, and have recently started booking bands. Big thanks to Matt Lima for hooking it up. See you there. Facebook Event Listing.

Well. Posting the day of our "work week". It's something at least. I completely missed last week.

Let me first say "Happy Fiscal Year", since there's a whole buncha other cultures that celebrate their New Year no where near the day so-called "Western" cultures do. You better believe, however, that everyone celebrates the last day of the fiscal year on the same day. What was I saying?

BIG UPDATE TO OUR CALENDAR 2015!!!!111!!!1

Let's begin, shall we?

Our first gig this week is at The Wherehouse in Newburgh, NY. You'll notice that we are a Thursday behind schedule. Being that the first Thursday fell on New Years Day, we postponed the gig until the 8th of January. Talking Machine starts at 8pm. First Wherehouse gig of the year. Event Listing by the Wherehouse. Their Website.

Next up is our monthly second Friday at the Gaslight in Wellsboro, PA. Not much more to say except we love it there. We start at 10pm.

Last up is a debut for us. Captain Jack's Bar and Grill, a place in Towanda, PA. Never been there but have heard great things, and one of the few places where getting asked for our card led to booking a gig. It something to which we're looking foward. See you there. Their Website.
